September 2009 Team Announcements
Hi Everyone!!! I hope you all had a long and relaxing summer and are having a good start to the new school year! Coach Justin is very excited about getting started soon! Here are some dates to get on your calendar:
Tuesday 9/1/09 6:30-8 pm in the Study Hall. CHS Swim Team will hold an informational / registration meeting for ALL new and returning swimmers and their parents. Please enter the building by the cafeteria. Please bring all forms downloaded from our website (we will have limited paper copies at the meeting to save money and trees!), paper, pen and most importantly, a checkbook.
Wednesday 9/16/09 BOOYA'S Team Night!!! Tell all your family and friends! If they eat at Booya's on our Team Night, AND mention our Team Name, we will receive 10% of those dinner sales! SO please spread the word!
Thursday 9/17/09 2:30 pm - 4 pm at St. George's HS Pool. CHS Swim Team Trial Period begins for all brand new swimmers to the team ONLY!!! No USS or returning swimmers will be allowed to swim during the Trial Period this year. This will run for TWO WEEKS. Cost is $25. Minimal forms required. At the end of the Trial period, swimmers and coaches will together discuss and decide who should return.
Saturday 9/19/09 10 am - 3 pm CHS Swim Team Car Wash. Rain date is Saturday September 26th. Location is First Citizens National Bank on Houston Levee b/w Poplar and Winchster beside Back Yard Burger. When you PreSell Tickets, all of the money you make goes directly toward reducing your Lane Fees! You can download your tickets BELOW. All the money we make that day, goes toward reducing everyone's Team Fees! We desperately need a volunteer to help coordinate this event. Please let me know. Its easy and the Board will help and guide you.

Also, our Summer Fundraiser was a HUGE success but we are in need of ONE large rolling suitcase. So over this next year, if you are cleaning out your attic or going around to garage sales, please keep your eyes open for a ONE large rolling suitcase! Thanks!
Lastly, all paperwork and most of the money must be turned in on or before OCTOBER 1st. Even though we are not a TSSAA Sanctioned Sport in the State of TN, we still follow all of the same rules. Physicals are part of that paperwork. They are valid for one year. If you played a spring sport and had a physical form filled out in the spring, I just need a copy of that. Otherwise, I need a new form. The forms are attached. I heard the other day that you can get a physical at Kroger with no appointment necessary and the cost is $25. Or you can go see your regular doctor. If you are having trouble getting this accomplished, let me know. There is another option.
